Wouldn’t it be awesome if I could come to your school, tell you some funny stories, teach you some great writing secrets AND get you out of that health unit on flossing? Yeah? Well I think so, too.
You can tell your teacher (or, if you are a teacher reading this, tell your principal) that I was a former special education teacher. Therefore, I know how to talk to kids. I also know how to tap dance. Well, I did once.

I can also present on any one of my books – how I got the idea, how long it took me to write it, blah, blah, blah. I’ll even answer your most burning questions. It works best if you read my book or hear it read aloud before I actually come for the visit. It’s also best if my books are available for sale – kind of like a “favor” from a birthday party. (Don’t you love those? The good ones, anyway.)
Note: Most publishers will give a 40% discount if you contact them directly. Or, ask your local bookseller to order them for you – a win-win situation. But don’t delay – you really want them there the day of the visit for maximum signage possibilities.
